Invitation, Context & Objectives:
Webir Automation & Control Services Ltd. are coming to Loon Lake for a retreat in August for a weekend, and have invited Pinnacle Pursuits to propose Interactive Workshop and Team Building at Loon Lake for their second day on Saturday, August 27th for 25 people. Based on recent discussions, Webir Automation is looking for 1 full day of group activities with a focus of having a team building event that brings everyone together and allows for people to get to know each other outside of work, and possibly learn some new professional development skills. The group has done various retreats before in the past, but not specifically at Loon Lake, and the participants consist of a group of tradesmen who are all generally fit and active.
Exact Professional Development, Training & Learning Themes: TBD. Once you have had a look at the various interactive workshops, we will be happy to tailor a session that fits your needs in the way of your culture, context, group dynamics and overall learning and development goals. Note; our workshops are professionally facilitated and we make the learning relevant, fun and memorable!
Proposed Program & Agenda Flow:
Keeping in mind what we know so far, and that logistics and timing are still TBD, we have various Indoor/Outdoor Workshops and Outdoor Adventure Team-building activities available at Loon Lake to choose from, to meet a variety of needs. Please review the following options, and let us know of any questions you may have to then move forward:
OPTION 1: Full Day - Morning Workshop (3hrs) + Outdoor Adventure Activities or Team Spirit Challenge (3-4hrs)
OPTION 2: Full Day - Outdoor Adventure Activities all day - with the Option to add Team Spirit Challenge in the Afternoon (6-7hr day)
Investment & Budget:
For a program of this nature, for a group of your size and requirements, for a full day of activities the estimated cost range for either Option 1 or Option 2 is $4,350 - $5,600 + GST (pending activities chosen). The lower end represents either 1) a morning workshop or 2 morning activities + 2 afternoon activities; the higher end represents adding on the Team Spirit Challenge Event for the afternoon. This includes full program planning/management, 3-5 staff/facilitators, all program equipment/supplies, and five million comprehensive liability.

A series of various adventure-based experiences and options from which participants can choose (ie. canoeing, raft-building, archery, low ropes and high ropes, rock climbing) that will help get people out of the board room and make any meeting or conference refreshing, interactive and fun! Located at one of our partner 'Adventure-Centre': Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre, Maple Ridge.
Team Spirit Challenge
An event where the whole group is together in the same area, and teams compete in series of unique high-energy, amazing ‘Survivor-like’ group challenges that require problem-solving, trust-building and creative teamwork solutions! With a fun, strength-based approach, this is a great event for including diverse needs and abilities. Always makes for awesome photos and memories!

In-Person Team Building Programs Include...
Serious Play
A series of fun indoor/outdoor facilitated activity-based team initiatives, for groups that require more focus on group dynamics, social interaction, team-work and fun! Competition is optional as is degree of facilitation (activity choice customized for each group based on group dynamics and training objectives).
Orienteering Challenge
In teams of 4-5, participants learn to use traditional orienteering methods (map and compass) along with a ‘landmark legend’ and a set of guidelines, to navigate through their environment towards a variety of creative check point stations (mystery team challenges). The combination of initiatives and will require teams to plan, strategize, communicate effectively, and regularly re-evaluate their decisions!
Amazing Adventure Race
Be ready for a high-impact adventure-based ‘scavenger hunt-style’ experience! Teams are given a map, legend, course and clues and compete in a unique team adventure challenge, racing through the local trails and beautiful wilderness setting whilst finding and completing strategically hidden and customized checkpoint challenges and team building initiatives.
Paddle & Play Day
Paddle & Play is a unique land & water team-building event that combines your choice of one or several of our land-based activities with either traditional Voyageur Canoes or Dragon Boating. Teams will divide and take turns being on land and on water. They will compete in a series of challenges where teamwork, strategy, problem solving, collaboration, and a sense of fun are key to team and organizational success.
