Summary of Group, Invitation, Context & Objectives:Ā Steve Whiteside, the new Business Development Manager at UCanWest has invited Jonathan and Pinnacle Pursuits to work with 13 admin staff for a half day (or more) of intentionally facilitated fun, bonding team-building activities. Itās a diverse team ready to get out of the city and share a unique adventure together!
Proposed Program & Format (based on 3-4hrs):Ā
Based on our recent phone discussion, option for the location/logistics, and group goals and objectives, we propose the following:
Option 1Ā - āHigh Ropes Course ChallengeāĀ (at Loon Lake in Maple Ridge) - starting with some fun connecting games and some progressive co-operation and trust-building initiatives at the low ropes course, we take to the ropes, helmets and harnesses and get prepared to go up 20-30ft in the poles and trees for some elevated challenges to test leadership, risk-taking, teamwork and support.Ā (See description with PDF print-out below and video sample in email).
Option 2 - āSerious PlayāĀ (any park-like setting)Ā -Ā where the whole group is together in the field, starting with some fun connecting games and icebreakers; evolving to strategically sequenced cooperative activities and then progressive high impact, intense trust-building initiatives. Degree of facilitation and de-briefing dependent on group needs and leadership development objectivesĀ (See description with PDF print-out below).
Option 3 ā Add-on workshop for 1-2hrs (any location) ā Possibly a group dynamics or simple leadership personality workshop, or even the Marshmallow Challenge (for 90-minutes) ā to include in the morning program. Many to choose from based on learning objectives and available time. (See description with PDF print-out below).

Investment & Budget:
For a half-to full day program as outlined customized to meet your objectives, for 13 people, you'd be looking at $3,500-$4,500, depending on final scope and logistics and degree of customization (Serious Play is on lower end; High Ropes is on mid-level, and addition of workshop within a 5-6hr program is on higher range). Includes any upfront discussions/consulting as required, custom program design, planning and paperwork, staff team as needed, staff travel, team-building activity supplies and equipment as necessary, $5 million comprehensive liability insurance, and full program management. It does not include costs associated with awards/giveaways, professional photography/ videography, venue/park permit fees, etc. (however, we are happy to help with the application process). Note: For programs that occur at Loon Lake (i.e. High Ropes), please prepare to add $38-45pp for site rental fee and a delicious meal and/or breakfast or afternoon snacks if you like (required).

Interactive Training Workshops
Facilitated personal and professional development training topics. These may include Strategic Visioning & Values, Clear Communication=Clear Leadership, Creativity & Collaboration, Leadership Assessment Profiles & more. These sessions are often customized to fit your specific group dynamics as well as your organizational culture, learning and development goals. We ensure the training is relevant, transferable, refreshing and fun!
High Ropes at Loon Lake
Facilitated at our Partner location, Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Center. High Ropes Challenge Course mixes high adventure and impactful learning experiences within a supportive, trusting and controlled setting. This experience is for adventurous groups ready to embark on a high level of performance in teamwork and growth. Ideally suited for 10-25 participants, 1.5 - 3 hour duration.
Serious Play
A series of fun indoor/outdoor facilitated activity-based team initiatives, for groups that require more focus on group dynamics, social interaction, team-work and fun! Competition is optional as is degree of facilitation (activity choice customized for each group based on group dynamics and training objectives).
The Marshmallow Challenge Workshop
This challenge is a world renown, fun and instructive exercise that encourages teams to experience simple but profound lessons in collaboration, creativity & innovation. This fast-paced activityĀ inspires a shared learning experience, opening up various possibilities to achieve success - or not!

An event where the whole group is together in the same area, and teams compete in series of unique high-energy, amazing ‘Survivor-like’ group challenges that require problem-solving, trust-building and creative teamwork solutions! With a fun, strength-based approach, this is a great event for including diverse needs and abilities. Always makes for awesome photos and memories!
Orienteering Challenge
In teams, participants learn to use traditional orienteering methods along with a ‘landmark legend’ and a set of guidelines, to navigate through their environment towards a variety of creative check point stations (mystery team challenges). The initiatives and will require teams to plan, strategize, communicate effectively, and regularly re-evaluate their decisions!
Amazing Adventure Race
Be ready for a high-impact adventure-based āscavenger hunt-styleā experience! Teams are given a map, legend, course and clues and compete in a unique team adventure challenge, racing through the local trails and beautiful wilderness setting whilst finding and completing strategically hidden and customized checkpoint challenges and team building initiatives.
Amazing Adventure Race: Remote Radio Course
Each team will be split in two & given 2 radios along with maps and clues. The challenge will require teams to strategize carefully, make key decisions, adapt as needed, and communicate via radio in order to complete all creative challenges, checkpoints, and problem-solving tasks successfully.Ā This is an intense experience that mirrors working as a remote team!
Adventure Play at Loon Lake, Maple Ridge
Ā A series of various adventure-based experiences and options from which participants can choose (ie. canoeing, raft-building, archery, low ropes and high ropes, rock climbing) that will help get people out of the board room and make any meeting or conference refreshing, interactive and fun! Adventure PlayĀ at Camp Pringle, Shawnigan lake
A series of various adventure-based experiences and options from which participants can choose (ie. canoeing, raft-building, archery, low ropes and high ropes, rock climbing) that will help get people out of the board room and make any meeting or conference refreshing, interactive and fun! Located at one of our partner 'Adventure-Centre': Pringle Camp & Retreat, Shawnigan Lake.
Corporate Picnic Adventure Day
Includes many activity options. Imagine a super fun, interactive, company-wide experience where everyone has the time and space to relax, connect, recharge, play together as colleagues and/or as families, and at the same time accomplish something uniquely different, where company values are promoted and celebrated, and new friendships and memories are created!
Adventure-Play-Wellness Day
Ā The best mix ofĀ of various adventure-based and wellness experiences options from which participants can choose (ie.Ā lantern making, candle-making, personal leadership/goal-setting, clay-work, circle drumming,Ā canoeing, raft-building, archery, low ropes and high ropes, rock climbing & more) that will help get people out of the city and make any experience refreshing, interactive and fun! Paddle & Play Day
Paddle & Play is a unique land & water team-building event that combines your choice of one or several of our land-based activities with either traditional Voyageur Canoes or Dragon Boating. Teams will divide and take turns being on land and on water. They will compete in a series of challenges where teamwork, strategy, problem solving, collaboration, and a sense of fun are key to team and organizational success.
Dragon Boating Adventure
Paddling either 10 or 20-person canoes, and led by a professional team of dragon boat instructors, your group will benefit from the expertise of trained facilitators to help guide them through the basics of dragon boat paddling skills and learn to work together to paddle safely, paddle fast, and have tons of fun!
Serious Play: Indoor
A series of fun indoor facilitated activity-based team initiatives, for groups that require more focus on group dynamics, social interaction, team-work and fun! Competition is optional as is degree of facilitation (activity choice customized for each group based on group dynamics and training objectives). Great for indoor conferences/events!
Virtual Team Building
During our Virtual Programs, each participant will use their skills and creativity in a way that may have taken a back seat in today’s remote work-life. In addition, we debrief each event, so that all participants can learn how to relate and apply the experience to their everyday life and business environment. The overall benefit for you? You will see how your team can continue to grow and connect, even when physically apart.
