Invitation:
Pinnacle Pursuits has been invited to propose a fun and adventurous afternoon session scavenger hunt/orienteering challenge/amazing race adventure on Monday, August 15th, 2022. There will be approx. 40-50 people total. The goal for this event is to most importantly have fun in the Downtown Vancouver setting outside of the office, and allow for intermingling within the different departments of TallGrass.
Context, Objectives, & Proposed Program:
This will be the first time the company (especially the sales staff) has been together in person since before COVID. The group will be made up of local staff as well as sales staff from various parts of Canada. About 70% are new over COVID, and everyone is youthful and healthy.
The vision for the event at this point is to host it on Granville Island, with a unique interactive Smartphone/GPS scavenger hunt style experience (Pinnacle-Tallgrass style), followed by a dinner party/celebration at the new Tap & Barrel Bridges location opening on May 31st 2022.
Pinnacle Pursuits has designed and hosted this style of event throughout the world, and knows Granville Island well. With over 15 creative challenges and checkpoint locations throughout the Island it will be guaranteed to be uniquely fun and memorable, Tallgrass style!

Proposed Agenda:
1:30pm - 2:15pm - Welcome & Introductions, Framing the Day & Ice Breakers
2:15pm - 2:45pm - Divide into teams, create team identity, provide handouts and teach skills
2:25pm - 5:00pm - Urban Team Adventure: 15-20 checkpoint challenges on Granville Island, and within the Burrard Inlet area. (ie. using aquabus to get to English Bay & Yaletown side)
5:00pm - Finish at Tap & Barrel to hand in completed Passports and for cocktails
6:00pm - Dinner hosted by TallGrass at Tap & Barrel - Announcements of scores, awards, possible slideshow by Pinnacle Pursuits - TBD
Investment & Budget:
For this event, and group size, cost will range from $6,000-$7,500 - range based on final logistics, length/number of challenges, possible use of Aquabus ferry (recommended), possible park permit, possible swag/awards/giveaways, etc. Costs include detailed planning and paperwork, welcome packages, team handouts (maps and passports) and supplies, possible use of GPS/Smartphone, $5 million comprehensive liability insurance, and full program management and staffing (5-8 staff).

Imagine the unique urban layout of the city as a high-tech hub of light-hearted adventure and discovery – where over 15+ interactive challenges and checkpoints will be set-up Amazing-race / scavenger-hunt style. Armed with their GPS, maps and passport, teams will be forced to use teamwork, strategy and innovation to reach success. Guaranteed to be uniquely creative, fun and memorable!

Paddle & Play Day
Paddle & Play is a unique land & water team-building event that combines your choice of one or several of our land-based activities with either traditional Voyageur Canoes or Dragon Boating. Teams will divide and take turns being on land and on water. They will compete in a series of challenges where teamwork, strategy, problem solving, collaboration, and a sense of fun are key to team and organizational success.
Adventure Play at Loon Lake,
Maple Ridge
A series of various adventure-based experiences and options from which participants can choose (ie. canoeing, raft-building, archery, low ropes and high ropes, rock climbing) that will help get people out of the board room and make any meeting or conference refreshing, interactive and fun! Located at one of our partner 'Adventure-Centre': Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre, Maple Ridge.
Interactive Training Workshops
Facilitated personal and professional development training topics. These may include Strategic Visioning & Values, Clear Communication=Clear Leadership, Team Understanding & Diversity (Who’s on the Team?), Creative Problem-solving and Navigating Change. These are often customized for each group to meet their specific learning, training, and organizational needs.
