Timing/Duration: 3 days / 2 nights
Context & Objectives:
Based on previous successes with Pinnacle Pursuits, Micromine has invited our team to propose some unique experiences for the staff during this team-building destination offsite / company incentive. Every year the company commits to going away for two destination experiences. At this point, Devika from Micromine has visited Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler and Victoria, sourcing out potential locations for this year’s event.
Based on the final goals and ideas for their destination and respective experiences, Micromine is open to having Pinnacle Pursuits propose unique team-building experiences for the group and/or potentially manage the whole destination experience. As well as inviting Pinnacle Pursuits, they are also looking at other vendors who could support their needs.
Proposed Program/Format & Timing
At this point, just to get the ball rolling, we are providing a list (with descriptions) of our portable, customizable team-building events we are able to host at almost any location. From a unique woodland or urban scavenger hunt-style experience, to a unique Dragon-boating competition in False Creek to a half day Team Spirit ‘survivor’-style experience, Pinnacle’s award-winning experiences are guaranteed to be energizing, refreshing, fun, memorable, and results-focussed!

Investment & Costs:
Team-building experiences: For a custom multi-activity day of this nature with your group size, the cost range for one of our 3-4hr experiences is generally in the cost range of $5,000-$8,000. Cost includes any upfront discussions/consulting as required, coordinating respective suppliers, custom program design, planning and paperwork, activity supplies and handouts, all event structures and equipment, $5 million comprehensive liability insurance, and reasonable return mileage/travel within Metro Vancouver and surrounding area.
Additional inclusions TBD: Bandannas (custom designed/ordered as a takeaway or borrowed), photo/videography, face paints, awards and prizes, other swag items, catering costs, park permits, etc.
Destination Event Management: In addition to facilitating the team-building events portion, Pinnacle Pursuits has the capacity to help manage all experiences within a fully customized destination experience. We are happy to quote on that once a destination is chosen and a desired scope of work is clarified.
Recommended Program Activities for Micromine:
Team Spirit Challenge
An event where the whole group is together in the same area, and teams compete in series of unique high-energy, amazing ‘Survivor-like’ group challenges that require problem-solving, trust-building and creative teamwork solutions! This is a great event for including diverse needs and abilities.
Paddle & Play Day
Paddle & Play is a unique land & water team-building event that combines your choice of one or several of our land-based activities with either traditional Voyageur Canoes or Dragon Boating. Teams will divide and take turns being on land and on water. This unique corporate experience near the water is a great way to promote physical health and fitness, collaboration, teamwork, leadership development, and fun!
Dragon Boating Adventure
Paddling either 10 or 20-person canoes, and led by a professional team of dragon boat instructors, your group will benefit from the expertise of trained facilitators to help guide them through the basics of dragon boat paddling skills and learn to work together to paddle safely, paddle fast, and have tons of fun! Enjoy your surroundings and take in the scenery with our various partner location companies.
Orienteering Challenge
In teams of 4-5, participants learn to use traditional orienteering methods (map and compass) along with a ‘landmark legend’ and a set of guidelines, to navigate through their environment towards a variety of creative check point stations (mystery team challenges). The combination of initiatives and will require teams to plan, strategize, communicate effectively, and regularly re-evaluate their decisions!
Amazing Adventure Race
Be ready for a high-impact adventure-based ‘scavenger hunt-style’ experience! Teams are given a map, legend, course and clues and compete in a unique team adventure challenge, racing through the local trails and beautiful wilderness setting whilst finding and completing strategically hidden and customized checkpoint challenges and team building initiatives.

A series of various adventure-based experiences and options from which participants can choose (ie. canoeing, raft-building, archery, low ropes and high ropes, rock climbing). Located at one of our partner 'Adventure-Centre': Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre, Maple Ridge.
Serious Play
A series of fun indoor/outdoor facilitated activity-based team initiatives, for groups that require more focus on group dynamics, social interaction, team-work and fun! Competition is optional as is degree of facilitation (activity choice customized for each group based on group dynamics and training objectives).
Corporate Picnic Adventure Day
Includes many activity options. Imagine a super fun, interactive, company-wide experience where everyone has the time and space to relax, connect, recharge, play together as colleagues and/or as families, and at the same time accomplish something uniquely different, where company values are promoted and celebrated, and new friendships and memories are created!
Interactive Training Workshops
In-Person or Virtual
Facilitated personal and professional development training topics. These may include Strategic Visioning & Values, Clear Communication=Clear Leadership, Team Understanding & Diversity (Who’s on the Team?), Creative Problem-solving and Navigating Change. These are often customized for each group to meet their specific learning, training, and organizational needs.
