Summary of Invitation, Context & Objectives:
Based on Pinnacle Pursuits successful relationship with Lululemon, Jessica has invited Pinnacle Pursuits to propose another full day of custom team-building activities for 160-200 Lululemon people on June 25th.
The focus for the Pinnacle Experience will be to bring people together to connect, get inspired to engage with one another, have fun, and create shared memories through a series of highly active and dynamic outdoor, adventure-based interactive team-building activities and experiences.
The event is currently in its initial broad envisioning stage; for now, however the following are some preliminary logistics and event ideas. If and once we move on, we can then begin to refine program details.
Retreat Agenda / Logistics:
8:30 Buses depart Vancouver
10:00 Arrive Cheakamus Centre, Squamish
10:15 Arrival snack and coffee
10:30 Pinnacle Pursuits activity session #1 (2hrs of undercover / indoor / outdoor activities – in teams of 5-6)
12:30 Lunch
1:30 Pinnacle Pursuits activity session #2 (Team Spirit Challenge in the field or Amazing Adventure Race – using full property!)
3:30 Wrap-up
3:45 Departing snack, load buses
10:30-12:30pm For Pinnacle Activity #1 in the morning…
20-30mins of Welcome/Intro with Icebreaker/Energizers; plus 90mins of either (non-competitive or competitive):
- 5-6 outdoor Serious Play-style problem-solving activities
OR
- Indoor Marshmallow Design & Build Challenge (30mins) + #1 above (with 4 outdoor activities)
OR
- Indoor Program (if inclement weather) – mixing best of #1 and #2 above
1:30-3:30pm For Pinnacle Activity #2 in the afternoon…
- Team Spirit Challenge (similar to what we did on Bowen Island, with some different activities)
OR
- Amazing Adventure Race using the while property! (includes map, legend, clues, and 12-15 self-directed and facilitated checkpoints; with the choice of using radios between teams to share information about checkpoints – to simulate working remotely)
Group Organization, Teams and Scoring:
Ultimately how we divide/organize the whole group factor will depend on the choice of events we select and overall logistics. Based on the numbers, we’d recommend dividing the whole group (of lets say 160) into two groups of 80 like we did on Bowen Island (in teams of 5-6) and then swopping after lunch. We will still need to discuss if we want them to change team-mates, whether we make morning and afternoon competitive, how we want points to accumulate, etc.
For now, we are including general activity/descriptions below (of all 4-5 events listed above), and can customize them once we decide on best agenda and format.
Investment & Costs for a Pinnacle Program Experience:
For a full-day program, cost range would be $20,000-25,000, depending on the number of people, specific program chosen, final logistics, etc.
Inclusions: Cost includes any upfront discussions as required, full event management, planning and paperwork, onsite staff team, staff travel, event set-up and tear-down, activity supplies and equipment as necessary, and $5 million comprehensive liability insurance.

Proposed Programs for Lululemon:
Serious Play: Indoor
A series of fun indoor facilitated activity-based team initiatives, for groups that require more focus on group dynamics, social interaction, team-work and fun! Competition is optional as is degree of facilitation (activity choice customized for each group based on group dynamics and training objectives).
Serious Play: Outdoor
A series of fun outdoor facilitated activity-based team initiatives, for groups that require more focus on group dynamics, social interaction, team-work and fun! Competition is optional as is degree of facilitation (activity choice customized for each group based on group dynamics and training objectives).
The Marshmallow & Spaghetti Challenge
This challenge is a world renown, fun and instructive exercise that encourages teams to experience simple but profound lessons in collaboration, creativity & innovation. This fast-paced activity inspires a shared learning experience, opening up various possibilities to achieve success - or not!
Team Spirit Challenge
An event where the whole group is together in the same area, and teams compete in series of unique high-energy, amazing ‘Survivor-like’ group challenges that require problem-solving, trust-building and creative teamwork solutions! With a fun, strength-based approach, this is a great event for including diverse needs and abilities. Always makes for awesome photos and memories!
Amazing Adventure Race
In teams of 5-6, participants will be issued a set of guidelines, customized maps, and legends with cryptic clues & tasks, to navigate towards a variety of creative checkpoint stations. The combination of initiatives will require teams to plan, strategize, communicate effectively, & regularly re-evaluate their decisions!
Radio Course Addon Option: Each team will be split in two & given 2 radios. Checkpoints will require teams to communicate via radio in order to complete all the tasks successfully. This experience mirrors a 'remote-working environment'!

Orienteering Challenge
In teams of 4-5, participants learn to use traditional orienteering methods (map and compass) along with a ‘landmark legend’ and a set of guidelines, to navigate through their environment towards a variety of creative check point stations (mystery team challenges). The combination of initiatives and will require teams to plan, strategize, communicate effectively, and regularly re-evaluate their decisions!
Paddle & Play Day
Paddle & Play is a unique land & water team-building event that combines your choice of one or several of our land-based activities with either traditional Voyageur Canoes or Dragon Boating. Teams will divide and take turns being on land and on water. They will compete in a series of challenges where teamwork, strategy, problem solving, collaboration, and a sense of fun are key to team and organizational success.
Adventure Play
At Loon Lake, Maple Ridge
A series of various adventure-based experiences and options from which participants can choose (ie. canoeing, raft-building, archery, low ropes and high ropes, rock climbing). Located at one of our partner 'Adventure-Centre': Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre, Maple Ridge.
Dragon Boating Adventure
Paddling either 10 or 20-person canoes, and led by a professional team of dragon boat instructors, your group will benefit from the expertise of trained facilitators to help guide them through the basics of dragon boat paddling skills and learn to work together to paddle safely, paddle fast, and have tons of fun!
Corporate Picnic Adventure Day
Includes many activity options. Imagine a super fun, interactive, company-wide experience where everyone has the time and space to relax, connect, recharge, play together as colleagues and/or as families, and at the same time accomplish something uniquely different, where company values are promoted and celebrated, and new friendships and memories are created!
Interactive Training Workshops
Facilitated personal and professional development training topics. These may include Strategic Visioning & Values, Clear Communication=Clear Leadership, Team Understanding & Diversity (Who’s on the Team?), Creative Problem-solving and Navigating Change.
