Invitation, Context & Objectives: Ashley Luck from AMP Retreat Solutions has invited Pinnacle Pursuits (Jonathan Willcocks) to propose a one-day interactive workshop session for an Edmonton-based EO Forum of 8 CEO’s during their Forum Retreat in Comox on April 16-18th, 2024 (workshop to take place on either April 17th or 18th).
Hopes and goals at this point is to provide the time and space together to have a shared experience for participants to experience a deeper level of connection and learning.
Proposed Program/Agenda:
Based on our recent discussion, planning is just at the beginning stages at this point with exact agenda content and activities still TBD, so this is just the first proposal. What was discussed included the need for a 3-4hr facilitated interactive ‘workshop’ session with a focus on personal leadership and learning, communication skills, and overall deeper shared experience that the members can use as context in their own personal and Forum development as they go forward.
Based on having several options to choose from, and knowing the audience and your desired goals, our recommendations are as follows:
- Team Communication: ‘Clear Communication = Clear Leadership’
- Who’s on the Team (3 choices) - choices of: Emotional Intelligence, Who’s on the Team, and 4D-i (4D-i is an extra $135pp for an online assessment and leadership report).

- *We also have a custom workshop that focuses on personal motivation and empowerment, that includes deeper inquiries about life and leadership, goal-setting and either high impact trust-building exercises or possibly high energy ‘board-breaking’!
Note: All workshops (based on needs and logistics), will include some fun and meaningful get to know you activities and deeper inquiries, to help with mindset and create context for the workshop). This will be customized as necessary as the workshop is refined and getting designed.
Investment & Costs:
Cost range for program design and facilitation and return travel time is $4,000-$4,500 for a half day (3-4hrs) and $5,000-$6,000 for a full day (6-7hrs), depending on workshop supplies and handouts and degree of customization; plus additional living expenses, including either return airfare or return car/ferry travel, 3 meals and one night accommodation (total expenses approx. $800-900).
Inclusions: includes any upfront discussions/consulting as required, planning and paperwork, facilitation time, return staff travel/time, workshop and team-building activity supplies and equipment as necessary, $5 million comprehensive liability insurance.

Interactive Training Workshops
Facilitated personal and professional development training topics. These may include Strategic Visioning & Values, Clear Communication=Clear Leadership, Creativity & Collaboration, Leadership Assessment Profiles & more. These sessions are often customized to fit your specific group dynamics as well as your organizational culture, learning and development goals. We ensure the training is relevant, transferable, refreshing and fun!

Serious Play
A series of fun indoor/outdoor facilitated activity-based team initiatives, for groups that require more focus on group dynamics, social interaction, team-work and fun! Competition is optional as is degree of facilitation (activity choice customized for each group based on group dynamics and training objectives).
Team Spirit Challenge
An event where the whole group is together in the same area, and teams compete in series of unique high-energy, amazing ‘Survivor-like’ group challenges that require problem-solving, trust-building and creative teamwork solutions! This is a great event for including diverse needs and abilities.
Orienteering Challenge
In teams of 4-5, participants learn to use traditional orienteering methods (map and compass) along with a ‘landmark legend’ and a set of guidelines, to navigate through their environment towards a variety of creative check point stations (mystery team challenges). The combination of initiatives and will require teams to plan, strategize, communicate effectively, and regularly re-evaluate their decisions!
Amazing Adventure Race
Be ready for a high-impact adventure-based ‘scavenger hunt-style’ experience! Teams are given a map, legend, course and clues and compete in a unique team adventure challenge, racing through the local trails and beautiful wilderness setting whilst finding and completing strategically hidden and customized checkpoint challenges and team building initiatives.
Paddle & Play Day
Paddle & Play is a unique land & water team-building event that combines your choice of one or several of our land-based activities with either traditional Voyageur Canoes or Dragon Boating. Teams will divide and take turns being on land and on water. They will compete in a series of challenges where teamwork, strategy, problem solving, collaboration, and a sense of fun are key to team and organizational success.
Interactive Training Workshops
Facilitated personal and professional development training topics. These may include Strategic Visioning & Values, Clear Communication=Clear Leadership, Team Understanding & Diversity (Who’s on the Team?), Creative Problem-solving and Navigating Change. These are often customized for each group to meet their specific learning, training, and organizational needs.
