Invitation & Context & Group Goals:
BC Lions has booked in at Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre and Jamie Taras has invited to Pinnacle Pursuits to propose an afternoon of fun, memorable outdoor adventure and team-building workshops or activities. The group will be divided into four teams, so they are open to having various activity options and/or one large team-building activity (ie. Team Spirit).
Proposed Program Options & Investment/Budget Summary:
Based on your hopes of having an afternoon of fun, memorable outdoor team-building/adventure activities, our recommended options and associated cost range is as follows (Please refer below to Printable Downloadable PDF’s with thorough explanations).
Top Recommendation:
- Adventure Play Day (A.K.A Choose Your Own Adventure): Within a 3hr period, participants will have an opportunity to experience 2 adventure-based activity choices where we can have 4 activities available. These could include: low ropes, high ropes, rock-climbing, canoeing, raft-building, archery, rappelling, and orienteering/woodland scavenger hunt. Your group of 40 will be divided into groups of 10-12 to meet our safety ratios, depending on the activity, and we can have 4- activities occurring simultaneously in two 1.5hr time blocks. *See Adventure Play Day description below.
Cost: Depending on how we organize the activity logistics (group size and activity choice), we will require approximately 4-5 staff. Total cost range for the program is $2,400-3,000.
Another Option (or added option for a larger group event):
- Team Spirit Event: A high energy, fun, competitive event for all 40 youth at once. After a super fun welcome, teams will rotate through 6-8 strategically designed, competitive fast-paced activities that bring out the best in everyone’s energy and teamwork strengths! These are a mix of fun problem-solving, design/build activities, creative puzzles, relays, teamwork activities. We can finish with a giant 4-way—tug-o-war game and fun awards/trophies! *See Team Spirit Challenge description below.
Cost: Total cost for this event is $3,250.

Cost Inclusions:
Pinnacle costs include all administration, program planning and project management, a full professional staff team of instructors / facilitators, return staff travel, staff meals if/where applicable, activity supplies and equipment, and industry specific comprehensive five million dollar liability insurance.

Inspired by the TV show Survivor, and filled with 8-10 unique challenges, this high-energy, all-inclusive, competitive event is a great start-of-year or end-of-year event to celebrate your school’s culture, build community team spirit and bring out the best in everyone!
Loon Lake Adventure: One-Day Program
Make it an an awesome out-trip to our partner facility Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre in Maple Ridge. Choose from a ton of amazing activities like high or low ropes course, rock-climbing, raft-building, eco-hike, canoeing, archery, Wildskills™, orienteering, team-building, and possibly a campfire!

Earth & Water - Land & Sea:
One-Day or Multi-Day Experience
A unique ‘big’ canoe experience and team-building event that combines your choice of one or several of our land-based activities plus either traditional Voyageur Canoeing, First Nations Canoeing, or Dragon Boating. Custom learning themes can focus on the elements of the historical and cultural significance, leadership education, and/or teamwork dynamics. Option for overnight expedition.
Dragon Boating Adventure: One-Day Event
at Cultus Lake
Paddling either 10 or 20-person canoes, and led by a professional team of dragon boat instructors, your group will benefit from the expertise of trained facilitators to help guide them through the basics of dragon boat paddling skills and learn to work together to paddle safely, paddle fast, and have tons of fun!
