HIGH ROPES
While wearing a harness and attached to a belay system, participants climb to platforms then navigate a series of obstacles 35 feet up off the ground. High Ropes provides the perfect medium to develop personal leadership, build confidence, and foster team support.

ROCK CLIMBING
Participants test their strengths while learning basic climbing techniques, professional belay methods, bouldering strategies, and spotting considerations. Rock climbing is symbolic of goal setting, personal challenge, and celebration.Â

LOW ROPES
A series of obstacles 2-3 feet above the forest floor featuring cables, ropes, and wooden platforms. Low ropes consists of intentionally facilitated exercises designed to challenge individuals and groups to work together, communicate effectively, problem-solve, and build trust.

CANOEING
In one of Canada’s most traditional pastimes, participants learn effective paddling techniques, master communication, play games, and discover the beautiful flora and fauna of Loon Lake from the water.

ARCHERY
In this highly enjoyable and historically significant sport, participants first learn bow and arrow anatomy and techniques, then move to shooting practice and games. Safety, goal setting, and personal challenge are key features of archery.

RAPPELLING
Participants learn the technical skills of self-belaying and how to control their descent as they enjoy the courage and confidence that rappelling down an 80-foot natural rock face overlooking the lake provides. Rappelling at Loon Lake is a truly thrilling experience!

RAFT-BUILDING
Using a variety of supplies, participants learn the components of designing and building a functional raft. Raft-Building requires groups to work together, communicate clearly, and strategize in order to keep afloat!

ORIENTEERING
Participants learn how to use a map and compass before going on a scavenger hunt that leads them to hidden check points around Loon Lake. Groups learn the value of effective teamwork as they navigate the trails and complete challenges together along the way.
