Summary of Invitation, Context, Objectives: Melissa Proctor from Coquitlam Classics U15B Girls Softball Team has invited Pinnacle Pursuits to work with the players to create a retreat or series of facilitated leadership and group dynamics workshops focused on the meaning and power of team development and creating a positive and empowering team culture; ideally, immersing the team into an experience where each player learns and understands what being a team-player is, and what strengths they bring, the power in diversity, and how that makes up a stronger, more resilient, powerful team culture.
For full-day and overnight programs we like to mix best of both Experiential Challenge Activities with Team/Leadership Learning Topics. These may include:
Adventure Challenge Activities (the 3 first challenge activities are site specific): High Ropes, Low Ropes, Rock Climbing, Orienteering Adventure Race, Archery; Group Dynamics/Team-Building exercises, Problem-solving initiatives, Trust-building/Trust falls. These activities will be carefully integrated into the progressive evolution of leadership and team development.
Workshop-based Leadership / Team Topics (adapted for teenage youth): Based on the need to have a rich leadership & team dynamics / team culture component, we will be providing several interpersonal sessions dedicated to personal leadership and team/team-player impact. Participants will be receiving their own booklet for notes that they can keep for future reference. Topics are 30% theory/lecture and 70% group discussion/interactive/experiential and progress from Leadership & Self-Awareness (Personal) into Leadership & Team Performance / Personal Impact (Social). Most topics are 1.5-2hrs long to align with outdoor activity blocks in a structured 2-day retreat. Each team of 12 will stay together. We can include evening sessions as well to continue deepening the learning, and team building / bonding process.
Note: Facilitation and Content will be adapted to working in a competitive the team environment

*NOTE: We have included a 30% community NFP discount. For two times the group size (24 vs 12), program cost is approx. only 30-50% more, making it 30%-50% more affordable per person. Final cost depends on exact activities chosen, degree of customization, workshop supplies needed, final logistics, etc. Includes any upfront discussions/consulting as required, project management, welcome packages, planning and paperwork, onsite staff/facilitation team, return staff travel, activity supplies and equipment as necessary, and $5 million comprehensive liability insurance.
