Summary of Your Needs & Logistics:
Contact: Mr. Gordon Cutting
Number of Participants: 70
Dates: December 3rd 2021
Location: Near Parksville - Vancouver Island
Length of Time: 1 Full Day
Invitation & Context:
The 4th Canadian Ranger Patrol Group of the Canadian Forces has invited Pinnacle Pursuits to propose a full 1-day in-person interactive training and team-building experience. There will be about 70 participants, comprised of men and women, in various roles and from various professions and departments with a diverse range in ages (30’s-50’s) and physical abilities.
Event Vision & Objective:
Following the new Federal mandate, and with the leadership of a new Commanding Officer, the 4CRPG is planning 5-days of personal and professional development with the focus to “create the conditions to build trust within our team. Many of our personnel have experienced injuries, trauma, injustice and frustration over the years (mental and physical). They cannot move forward when stuck in the past but we also cannot ignore the past. With the appropriate structure and facilitation, there is an opportunity to build trust in the team through effective communication that ensures all voices are heard and we work together to build a vision and action plan to move forward. A day of team building is part of and is what we are seeking from a provider like your company.”
Day 5 Pinnacle Pursuits Experience - Key Objective:
Day 5 will be a culmination of the last 4 days, allowing the personnel, through an inclusive, visceral, hands-on practical/physical experience, to integrate and practice the communication and trust-building skills and tools they were taught over the preceding days. Thus, ultimately creating stronger, more positive relationships and cohesive bonds among one another, enabling them to move forward with greater trust, confidence and ease.
Proposed Program & Agenda Flow
Ultimately, if Pinnacle is chosen, we can begin refining the process, the content, experience, the budget and ultimately the overall outcomes. For now, at this stage we are proposing 2 different events (please see links to PDFs below to the descriptions). We would see these events taking the afternoon whilst the morning being used for specific skill-based physical and mental trust and teamwork training, in preparation for the afternoon skills required (exact details TBD, based on the event).
Investment & Budget
For a group of your size, a full day adventure-based team-building event of this nature will fall in the range of $9.5-16K ($130-230pp), with Tribal Spirit Challenge being closer to $9.5K and the Team Adventure Race closer to $11-16K based on exact logistics and challenges/details. Once we know preferred event, exact location and logistics, we can begin refining the budget. Cost includes project management, staffing, program planning, event equipment and supplies, and $5million comprehensive insurance. It also includes the morning portion (specifics TBD). It does not yet include travel, meals and accommodation if and as required.
Next Steps
To review and refine options (ie. choices for team initiatives and challenges), discuss additional content ideas, confirm budget and contract process, refine as needed, build and execute experience.

Proposed Programs :
Amazing Adventure Race
Be ready to for a high-impact adventure-based ‘scavenger hunt-style’ experience! Teams of 4-5 members will compete in a unique team adventure challenge, racing across/through various park and wilderness (or urban) areas that have been strategically mapped out, whilst completing customized checkpoint challenges and team building initiatives along the way. Certainly not for the feint hearted!
Team Spirit Challenge
Imagine a park or field with a series of pre-built obstacles and and team-challenges ready, some of which are based off the TV Show 'Survivor'. Using their teamwork skills, problem-solving tactics, and wits, teams of 5-6 members will be tasked to compete in each unique challenge alongside other teams, earning as many points as possible to become the final winner! This is a great event for including diverse needs and abilities. (*Options of challenges available to choose from).
Interactive Learning & Training Workshops
Being aware of the theme and focus for the week, in the way of communication, trust-building and possibly even therapeutic processes and techniques, this overview includes various personal and professional development training topics that may be useful.
