Invitation & Context:Â
Julie Murray from Brentwood College School has invited Pinnacle Pursuits to host a 4hr activity-based experience focused on teamwork and leadership. Hope and goals and desired 'take-aways' include:Â

- âGive our grade 11 class the opportunity to get outside of their comfort zone and bond with members of their grade. One of the key things we heard from our graduating class this year is that they did not have enough activities with their class prior to their grade 12 year, and they think this bonding would have made them stronger leaders in the school.Â
- Our grade 11s will be the prefects in the school next year - each prefect has a leadership role - we would love to have some leadership development opportunities for the students during the day. I will get back to you on more specifics related to this.Â
- We would like a more experiential/activity-based day - our students are in classes 6 days a week, so we would like them to have the opportunity to learn in ways that don't include sitting in a classroom.âÂ
Proposed Program:
Based on desired outcomes and logistics, we are proposing our high spirited, celebratory, hands-on, bonding experience â a mix of âTeam Spiritâ, âSerious Play Leadership Exercisesâ, as discussed; that starts with framing the day, fun team icebreakers, dividing the class into 6 groups of about 23pp (then again into 4 more sub-groups of about 6) to prepare for a series of 7 unique and challenging teamwork activities and challenges that are carefully de-briefed. Themes include: Getting to know each other better, inclusivity, and conflict resolution. The motto could be something like âAll in: Connected. Stronger in Unity Togetherâ, etc.

Cost / Investment â Updated:Â
For 137 students, we initially gave a cost range of $70-90per student. Based on moving forward with the combined Team Spirit/Serious Play/Leadership Day as described (as opposed to a workshop-style event and NOT competitive), we can confirm the cost of $11,508 (+GST) â which works out to be about $84 per student. This is reflected in your attached updated contract and invoice.
Cost includes: Any upfront discussions as required to clarify and refine learning outcomes and objectives, planning and paperwork, full staff team, staff travel / overnight living expenses, team-building activity supplies and equipment as necessary, $5 million comprehensive liability insurance, and full program set-up/take-down and management.Â

Loon Lake Adventure: One-Day Program
Make it an an awesome out-trip to our partner facility Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre in Maple Ridge. Choose from a ton of amazing activities like high or low ropes course, rock-climbing, raft-building, eco-hike, canoeing, archery, Wildskills™, orienteering, team-building, and possibly a campfire!
Earth & Water - Land & Sea:
One-Day or Multi-Day Experience
A unique ‘big’ canoe experience and team-building event that combines your choice of one or several of our land-based activities plus either traditional Voyageur Canoeing, First Nations Canoeing, or Dragon Boating. Custom learning themes can focus on the elements of the historical and cultural significance, leadership education, and/or teamwork dynamics. Option for overnight expedition.
Dragon Boating Adventure: One-Day Event
at Cultus Lake
Paddling either 10 or 20-person canoes, and led by a professional team of dragon boat instructors, your group will benefit from the expertise of trained facilitators to help guide them through the basics of dragon boat paddling skills and learn to work together to paddle safely, paddle fast, and have tons of fun!
