Invitation & Context:
Abbotsford Traditional School has invited Pinnacle Pursuits to facilitate and host a half or full day programs (or series of programs), this Fall and / or in the Spring, for Grade 7 & 8s, mixing the bets of experiential leadership workshops and team-building activities, focused on various personal / group leadership skills, which can be customized as we refine and confirm the program.
Proposed Program:
Based on your hopes and goals, we’d recommend a rotational based 5-6hr one day program with 3-4 x 20-30min workshops (with discussion handouts and scenarios) combined with 4-5 super fun and engaging leadership-based team-building activities. We would work with you, the school, to organize the 120 students into 5-6 groups of 20-30 students. *Teachers will have information and tools to refer to use to support their classes going forward.
Cost / Investment – Fall Program:
For 120 students, based on program format, cost will vary.
For a full day program at 4.5-6hrs (recommended) with mix of both leadership content/discussion and group activities, the cost would be in the range of $6,750 - $7,750 based on length of day and final content and logistics (approx. $55-65pp).
For a multi-program format (i.e 2-3 half day programs at 2.5-3.5hrs), cost would be in the range of $4,250-$5,250 per session based on final content and logistics ($35-45pp).
Cost includes: Any upfront discussions as required to clarify and refine learning outcomes and objectives, planning and paperwork, full staff team, workshop handouts, recommended tools/resources for teachers, team-building activity supplies and equipment as necessary, $5 million comprehensive liability insurance, and full program set-up/take-down and management.
Location: If we were to do it at a local park, weather may be an issue. A combination of indoors at school and the school field could work well; otherwise if an external facility is an option – making it a longer day or overnight leadership camp - lease let us know. We could suggest some excellent facilities we work at regularly.

Loon Lake Adventure: One-Day Program
Make it an an awesome out-trip to our partner facility Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre in Maple Ridge. Choose from a ton of amazing activities like high or low ropes course, rock-climbing, raft-building, eco-hike, canoeing, archery, Wildskills™, orienteering, team-building, and possibly a campfire!
Earth & Water - Land & Sea:
One-Day or Multi-Day Experience
A unique ‘big’ canoe experience and team-building event that combines your choice of one or several of our land-based activities plus either traditional Voyageur Canoeing, First Nations Canoeing, or Dragon Boating. Custom learning themes can focus on the elements of the historical and cultural significance, leadership education, and/or teamwork dynamics. Option for overnight expedition.
Dragon Boating Adventure: One-Day Event
at Cultus Lake
Paddling either 10 or 20-person canoes, and led by a professional team of dragon boat instructors, your group will benefit from the expertise of trained facilitators to help guide them through the basics of dragon boat paddling skills and learn to work together to paddle safely, paddle fast, and have tons of fun!
